The final book written by Charlie Kirk, recently assassinated CEO of Turning Point USA (TPUSA) was just released on December 9^th: “STOP, IN THE NAME OF GOD…WHY HONORING THE SABBATH WILL TRANSFORM YOUR LIFE”. Erika Kirk, Charlie’s widow and new CEO of TPUSA has been interviewed on numerous television networks and other venues, supporting biblical 7^th Day Sabbath rest and rejuvenation.

Several months ago, Charlie Kirk’s Bible studies led him to conviction about the importance and place of the True Sabbath, so he and his family started keeping the Sabbath, and he just finished writing his book about it prior to his assassination. TPUSA, headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona currently includes 3,500 college campus chapters, 1,200 high school chapters, 120,000 inquiries to open new campus chapters, and they have experienced an influx of over 60,000 members since Charlie’s death on September 10^th.  For instance, if each chapter had an average of only 30 students, we’re looking at nearly 4 million new 7^th Day Sabbath Keepers who are not yet aligned with any particular existing church organization.

Ben Carson is a Seventh Day Adventist Christian, famous neurosurgeon, key implementer of MAHA (Make America Healthy Again), and USDA advisor to the President as a Chief Spokesperson on health, nutrition, and housing matters. Ben recently was also a keynote speaker at Charlie Kirk’s funeral on behalf of his widow Erika Kirk, which means that Erika is likely familiar with our beliefs regards the 7^th Day Sabbath within God’s Ten Commandments.

Is all this sending a message to SDA churches across America? What if our churches were suddenly inundated by an explosion of nearly 4 million young people, most or all of them students from educational institutions, and on fire for the Sabbath and Jesus? Would that have an impact on our church? Are we ready for this? Will they visit our churches and find Laodicea and a bunch of luke warm stiff-necked “gray” heads.

Folks, we may very well have some answering to do really soon. We also may have some soul-searching to do. Is it possible that the “stones will be crying out” because the people and organizations tasked with keeping and spreading the Sabbath commandment truths (and other truths) are asleep at the switch? Turning Point USA assuredly will now be studying how to deal with keeping the true Sabbath in the face of other Christian denominations and the Catholic church, who are entrenched in Sunday keeping. We don’t have all the answers to all these questions yet, but God knows, and His plan is laid out before us. Pray unceasingly for peace, wisdom, and a renewal of your spirit in Christ every day.
