Go & Make Disciples: Join Us for Community Outreach Day on August 29!
As disciples of Jesus, we are called to action by His beautiful and powerful command to “Go and make disciples.” This August, we have a wonderful opportunity to live out that calling together right here in our local community.
We invite our Sandy Church family to join us for Community Outreach Day on Sabbath, August 29, starting at 2:00 PM. (Meet at the church)
Our goal is simple: to devote just 90 minutes sharing God’s love by distributing literature and bridge event fliers to our Sandy neighbors.
Here is the plan for the day:
- Lunch: Bring your own sack lunch, and we will gather to eat together in the fellowship hall immediately following the worship service.
- Orientation (2:00 PM): We will have a brief orientation to go over instructions and share encouragement.
- Going Two-by-Two: We will pair up and head out into the community in teams of two, just as Jesus sent out His disciples.
- All Ages Welcome! This is a family-friendly event. Whether you are young or young at heart, there is a place for you to serve.

Evento de la Iglesia Sandy:
¡Ve y haz discípulos! ¡Únete a nosotros en el Día de Alcance Comunitario el 29 de agosto!
Como discípulos de Jesús, estamos llamados a la acción por su hermoso y poderoso mandato: «Id y haced discípulos». Este agosto, tenemos una maravillosa oportunidad de vivir ese llamado juntos aquí mismo, en nuestra comunidad.
Invitamos a nuestra comunidad de la Iglesia Sandy a participar en el Día de Servicio Comunitario el sábado 29 de agosto, a partir de las 14:00. (Nos reuniremos en la iglesia).
Nuestro objetivo es sencillo: dedicar tan solo 90 minutos a compartir el amor de Dios distribuyendo folletos informativos y volantes del evento de bridge a nuestros vecinos de Sandy.
Este es el plan para hoy:
- Almuerzo: Traigan su propio almuerzo y nos reuniremos para comer juntos en el salón de usos múltiples inmediatamente después del servicio religioso.
- Orientación (14:00): Tendremos una breve sesión de orientación para repasar las instrucciones y brindar palabras de aliento.
- De dos en dos: Nos dividiremos en parejas y saldremos a la comunidad en equipos de dos, tal como Jesús envió a sus discípulos.
- ¡Todas las edades son bienvenidas! Este es un evento para toda la familia. Seas joven o joven de corazón, hay un lugar para que participes.
