There are times in everyone’s life when we can look back in the “rear view mirror” and see an unusual collection of opportunities that came together at the same time, opening doors that might have otherwise gone unnoticed. This June is not only the gateway month to Summer, but it is also the time when we are about to receive a new pastor, his wife, and four children to lead in our congregation. Additionally, this is the month that our Sandy Nominating Committee is meeting to elect ministry directors who will be leading our church for the next two years. This is our current list of ministries (not necessarily all-inclusive at this writing): 

Our collective goal is to have our new pastor and ministries all in place, with a second reading and a business meeting approval by July 1^st, which certainly may be too aggressive, especially since our final nominating committee selection process was delayed a full month. Stay tuned! 

The key to success is the leading of The Holy Spirit inside each one of us, and going forward. We are living in truly exciting times, so our church needs everyone’s support and participation from the heart. You have one or more gifts from God, so this may be the most awesome time in your life to bring your gifts to the throne of grace, and ask the Lord to use you according to His will, and for His glory! You will be blessed more than you may realize, and like myself, you may be totally surprised at what He has in store for you and how it will enrich your own life and those in your sphere of influence.  

Opportunity is knocking at our door right now. Your nominating committee, church leadership, and new pastoral family all need your earnest prayers as decisions are made, with Jesus as the very person leading us every step of the way. God bless each one of you every day!
